ABOUT US

Who We Are

We believe that no one should face mental illness alone, especially when racial, cultural or systemic barriers make it harder.

The Philip Support Foundation (PSF) is an organization established in loving memory of Adedapo Philip, who courageously lived with schizophrenia and whose life ended too soon.

Born from a place of deep love, grief, and faith, the foundation exists to honor his legacy by extending  mental health support to individuals and families - especially in the Black community, including Black Canadians, immigrants, refugees, and people of African descent.

We empower individuals and families with knowledge, skills, and practical tools to better understand mental health challenges. Through education and support, we help people make informed decisions and advocate for themselves and their loved ones.

Compassion

We approach every individual with empathy, respect, and genuine care. Our work is grounded in understanding lived experiences and responding without judgment or stigma.

Cultural Relevance

We recognize that culture, identity, and lived experience shape how mental health is understood and addressed. Our programs are designed to be responsive to the unique needs of Black Canadians and immigrant communities.
